On Television — Editorial

On Television is a personal illustration project developed as a visual response to a New Yorker article about Netflix’s docuseries Break Point. This project is entirely independent and has no affiliation with The New Yorker or Netflix.

The composition focuses on the dynamism of movement, using strong diagonals to emphasize motion and tension. The scene captures a suspended, almost timeless moment: the instant of a winning serve, frozen at its peak. The ball resting on the racket becomes a symbolic focal point, glowing like a star in the firmament, suggesting the fragile, luminous nature of sporting glory as mediated through television.
